Ashe County suffered a devastating impact from Hurricane Helene. Lives were lost, homes were destroyed, and livelihoods were impacted. During this time of need, the Parish of The Holy Communion believes that one way for us to help our brothers and sisters in Christ is to become a conduit of God's resources. On October 6th, 2024, the Parish established the Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Fund (“Fund”). The Fund will be used to solicit donations from the congregation and beyond.
If you would like to give to the Fund, please click here to donate online, or write a check with the memo (Helene Relief). Checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 177, Glendale Springs, NC 28629 or offered in the offertory plate during the Sunday Service. The church is a 501C3, so donations are tax deductible.
The Parish is working with existing disaster relief efforts in the county to identify impacted families that will be offered assistance. We're not soliciting applications for assistance at this time. If that changes, this page will be updated with information on how to apply for assistance.
