2024 has been a remarkable year for our parish. We have experienced many joyous occasions, including an ordination! And we have overcome some challenging situations, including responding to the impact of Hurricane Helene and shifting gears for our annual festival.
With the help of a newly established finance department, we have implemented a new accounting system and have made great strides in improving our financial management practices. With a greater level of transparency regarding the resources available to the church, the Vestry is making decisions that best serve the interests of the parish and our community, but the work is only beginning!
As we come close to the end of 2024 and plan our resources for 2025, the Vestry has prepared an ambitious budget that will propel us as a congregation to greater heights in doing the work of God, both within the Parish and in our broader community. In addition to this letter, you will find our draft 2025 budget with a breakdown of how we envision using our financial resources. This is a little more than a 10% increase from the 2024 budget; however, we know that the congregation is committed to the growth and success of our Parish. We are confident that we can raise 74% of the budget through pledges.
The Vestry encourages each parishioner to prayerfully consider how God is calling them to participate in the life of the Parish and contribute toward its financial health and the ability to carry out its purpose of serving God and His people.
Please pledge online using this link, or use the pledge card enclosed with your letter. Our in-gathering of pledge cards will be on November 17th during the offertory. If you have any questions, please speak with any member of the Vestry. Yours in Christ,
Vestry, Episcopal Parish of the Holy Communion
